LankaNewspapers: An online Tamil News website (orunews) reports that Mr. Jeyaraj Fernandopulle was killed by a parcel bomb and not by a suicidal attack. The website also indicate that video of the bomb explosion shows the bomb exploding at the right side of Jeyaraj Fernandopulle, where as the marathon runners were standing on left of him.
Not only that, the Marathon runners were only wearing running shoes and a small T-shirt, which is reported to be unfit for a deadly suicidal mission that killed 14 people and left more than 90 wounded and 16 of the wounded have sustained serious injuries. How can Marathon runners wearing running shoes and small t-shirts conceal such a deadly bomb under their thin clothe layer?
The website reports that there are witnesses from the explosion site, who saw someone throwing a parcel bomb toward Jeyaraj Fernandopulle from a cemetery next to the bomb explosion site. The Government officials seem to have ignored such possibility and put the blame on LTTE to ease their job.
There is also a question among the public as to why the Minister of Sports and Public Relations Gamini Lokuge and Minister of Cultural Affairs Mahinda Yapa Abeyawardena didn`t attend this event. Jeyaraj Fernandopulle was the Minister of Highways and he attended an event, which Mahinda Yapa Abeyawardena or Gamini Lokuge should have attended. It is also reported that none of Jeyaraj Fernandopulle`s bodyguards died in the bomb blast.
as soon as the bomb went off the govt of sri lanka has declared this a LTTE job on what evidence? only they know. but they continue to peddle this fraudulent view
