Lisa Prashad friend of Aliyah Bulkan commits suicide
A 16–year-old girl last evening took her own life by pulling the trigger of her father’s licensed firearm close to her heart.
According to reports the young woman was a friend of Aliya Bulkan, the young woman who plunged off the Kaieteur Falls last Saturday. Prashad reportedly attended a wake for Bulkan on Tuesday night.

Police investigating teen suicide shooting
POLICE yesterday confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Marian Academy student Lisa Prashad, 16, of Lot 319 Republic Park, East Bank Demerara.
She died about 19:00h at her home on Wednesday, after shooting herself with her father’s licensed firearm, which is in the custody of the police as the probe continues.
The suicide victim was a fifth former preparing to write the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination.
Reports said she did not previously display any suicidal tendencies or was in any way depressed.
Her family operates a clothing store in Regent Street, Georgetown, which did not open for business yesterday as employees and others gathered to comfort the grieving parents, who were too distraught to speak to the media and asked to be allowed time to deal with their grief.
The death of Prashad follows the suicidal plunge by Aliya Bulkan, 23, also of Republic Park, who ended her life by jumping off the 741 feet Kaieteur Falls last Saturday, while on a tour of Kaieteur National Park. (Michel Outridge, Guyana Chronicle)

It maybe a concidence, Aliya Bulkan’s friend who went in the tour was named Lisa. Lisa Persaud, on Tuesday, she went for awake at Aliya’s house. Both were comitted suicide ???????
