Ministers Rohee, Persaud acting as President and Prime Minister

Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee has been sworn in today as Acting President of the Republic of Guyana while Minister of Agriculture, Robert Persaud is performing the duties of Prime Minister.
President Bharrat Jagdeo left Guyana on Thursday for the Middle East with a delegation comprising Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carolyn Rodrigues- Birkett, Minister of Housing and Water, Irfan Ali and General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Partry, Donald Ramotar.
Prime Minister Samuel Hinds also left Guyana for Cuba.
In keeping with Article 109 of the Constitution, the two Cabinet ministers have been appointed temporarily to perform the duties of acting President and Prime Minister.
The Ministers were sworn in at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport VIP Lounge, Timehri. Witnessing the event were Commissioner of Police, Henry Greene, Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force, Commodore Gary Best, Chief Justice (acting) Ian Chang and Protocol Advisor to the President, Vic Persaud.
I have lost all confidence in the Guyanese people now. Guyana is a nation of dead dumb people for allowing a serial rapist, drug dealer and torturer by the name of Clement Rohee to act as President of the country.
I have no respect for Guyanese anymore except the few that are brave enough to fight this drug dealing PPP govt.
Rohee is a child rapist, just ask Freddie Kissoon or Balwant Persaud, the Canadian Immigration Consultant who was successful in winning refugee status in Canada for a raped teenage girl.
He subsequently framed the Immigration Consultant on trump up charges with the help of the Taliban DPP, Hack.
Guyanese should be ashamed of themselves to have a criminal like Rohee to act as President.
His USA and Canadian Visas were revoked for drug dealing and back tracking.

Guyanese peoples’ problem is we have been too well trained by colonial and post colonial authorities, religions, etc. to be passive spectators instead of actors on the stage of his/herstory. As a mitigating factor bear in mind what has always tended to happen to those who became actors, from the Enmore martyrs to Walter Rodney to Mark Benschop. People are afraid.
What it will take is a critical mass of people who refuse to be terrorised or compromised and who people can see are good strong non-hypocritical examples. It needs to be more than one or two self-proclaimed leaders here and there. People as a whole have to start to see themselves as leaders. It’s a worldwide problem, not just in Guyana… here in the U.K. everyone and they mama is out of a job due to the bankers who are still getting bumper bonuses, but how many people come out when there is a protest about that? Guyanese are not the only people who are apathetic.
