The Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) came under fresh criticism for negligence yesterday after the death of seven-year-old Quincy Softleigh Jnr, who was being treated for a back injury.
GPH Chief Executive Officer Michael Khan yesterday told Stabroek News that the case is being investigated.

Now that sucks. As a health professional, the first and foremost thing to do is be ethical. Mistakes are bound to happen from time to time but covering up is worst than doing the mistake.

I know a woman that was drenched with acid by her children’s father last month on the Guyana-Suriname ferry.She went to GPH to be treated but was further infected and sinking from her wounds by the time she left to go abroad to be treated properly.Her family said the few days she spent at GPH was like adding salt to her injuries.First of all those in the medical fields knows burnt victims needs to be treated with absolute delicacy but she was instead made to share a room with other patients with all kind of other ailments,clean herself,use the same bathroom ect.Even the Chinese doctor wrote on her discharge form that”GPH doesn’t have the medical equipment to treat her”.
My point is the ppp likes to boast about progress,well so much for progress!

Thats the worst fucking Hospital in the Caribbean…am speaking from personal experience….they (Government) should be ashamed.
