Re: Acquisition of Ammunition – Presidential Guard Service
Reference is hereby made to the abovementioned subject.
Please be advised that the Administration of the Office of the President is desirous of acquiring ammunition as listed below to update the present arms strength at all locations of the expanding he Presidential Guard namely:
1. 9MM Ammunitions – 50,000 Rds
2. .38 Ammunitions – 40,000 Rds
3. 7.62 x 39 Ammunitions – 20,000 Rds
Quotations were received from the following suppliers namely:
1. Hackeem Mohamed
2. Magtech
3. Bonanza International Inc.
The Head of the Presidential Guard has recommended that these items be acquired from Hackeem Mohamed, licensed firearms and ammunition dealers, who has submitted the most competitive bid in the sum eleven million six hundred thousand dollars $11,600,000 to supply these ammunitions.
Please see attached, copies of the respective quotation which are hereby forwarded for the attention of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board.
Thus, this matter is therefore referred for the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board’s consideration for selective tendering to be done and for approval of awards to Hakeem Mohamed in the sum of ($11,600,000).
