Guyana Observer Some weeks ago columnist Freddie Kissoon, complained that Kaieteur News has not been carrying letters by Malcolm Harripaul and asked for an explanation. What Freddie may not know is that the newspaper with which he is associated has refused to publish my last three letters.Attempts by me to ascertain the reasons behind my ban have gone unanswered by the editor. Let me say that I respect the right of newspapers to decide what not to publish. I also recognize that they do not owe explanationsfor their actions to any individual. Further, in a season of bias media policing by the government, I appreciate that the media have to be very careful. But in an environment where the current political administration has not been fair to the non-state media, the latter should be careful not to be seen to discriminatory.
