Comment: breaking news from Capitol radio
Capitol News has learned that the Office of the President paid for Mboya Wood to
come down to Guyana from the United States just to participate in the Buxton rally.
In a clear use of State Resources for a Party Function, the Office of the President
instructed the airline to issue a Business Class (First Class) ticket in the name of
Mboya Wood.
As far as the newscast has verified, Wood is neither an advisor to the President nor
an officer of the Government of Guyana, he was not invited in any capacity other
than to appear on a Party political platform, yet his ticket and other expenses were
covered by the Office of the President with a Bank of Guyana check that has since
been submitted by the airline and honored by the Central Bank.
The Incumbent regime has been accused of blatantly using state resources to fund its
campaign and the international observers have all accepted the use of these
resources by the incumbent as spoils of being the ruling party. More on WRHM Capitol
