Gerry Gouveia is a racist cocaine scoundrel in need of spiritual cleansing

Dear Editor,
Mr. Gerry Gouveia has taken the royal high ground to write Mr. David Granger about the actions of the protesters. In his letter (not well constructed) he claims that he shared good relations with Granger, Larry London, Joseph Harmon and many others. Does this mean that these guys must trade-in Guyana to meet the murky demands of this self proclaimed honourable gentleman?
Did Mr. Gouveia take into account the damage that would be done to his ‘good relations’ when he sat idly by whilst the rights of the majority of Guyanese were trampled upon? The gentleman reminds Granger that he (Granger) made a covenant to enhance public safety and national unity.
Mr. Editor, Gerry Gouveia is blowing his own trumpet that he risked his life many times in doing mercy flights to save lives. Please spare us the drama – he was paid for those services because he runs a charter service.
The only charter operator who did some medical evacuations for free is Yacoob Ally. Also, lots of other pilots have flown where eagles dare to save lives. Who was the pilot that chased a sick soldier in the interior off the army’s aircraft in order to give/sell the seat to a miner?
It is a great pity that Gouveia’s pen was not well inked in time for him to write the PPP about Lumumba’s behaviour at the Place of Poll. Pity he forgot his ‘good relations’ with Granger, Larry and the boys then. Pity he was not at some of the polling places in Amerindian villages where the people were given PPP mock ballot papers to take in their pockets and copy off where to place their Xs. One of the poor guys showed the paper to the PO. Would he have written about that? Nah!
Nobody envies Mr. Gouveia his self professed grandeur, but if we do not speak out now, pretty soon, we may have to apply to the PSC/PPP for visas to live in Guyana where we were born.
If your wings and halo fit, Mr. Gouveia, you may put them on but do not expect us to genuflect to you. Oh, and while the esteemed Christian people do the cleansing of Duke Lodge, Gerry may wish to accommodate some personal spiritual cleansing and wisdom may visit him.
